Dr. Deidre Reid-Thomas, Founder and Director, of Thomas Ed Learning Center has 17+ years of experience in the field of Education. Her Bachelors degree in Biomedical Sciences, from the University of South Florida, lead her into teaching Math and Science at the middle school level and Chemistry at the high school Level. During this time she went on to earn a Masters and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lynn University, serving as a Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate (CPED) Fellow. She furthered her career to affect the lives of students, teachers and the local community for 10 years as a local high school Assistant Principal.
Dr. Reid-Thomas holds firm to the philosophy that one must see the child first by meeting their socio-emotional needs. Educating the whole child benefits us all as we produce individuals who are able to flourish in society as empathetic conscious beings, who are able to communicate effectively in a global society. This approach is not a “one size fits all” and therefore a non-traditional setting such as Thomas Ed lends itself to supporting students and pushing them to achieve new heights in their academic career.

Hello! My name is Michael Thomas, and I am happy to say that I have taught math in both middle and high schools for over twenty (20) years.
I was born in Jamaica where I worked for the Jamaica Telephone Company Ltd. for twenty-three (23) years in the field of telecommunications. During this time, I graduated from the College of Arts Science and Technology with an associate degree in Telecommunications Engineering and the University of the West Indies with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
In subsequent years I migrated to the United States where I began my public-school teaching career and recently retired after more than twenty (20) years in the classroom. During this time, I graduated from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) with a master's degree in Educational Leadership.
I am currently certified by the State of Florida to teach Mathematics from grades 5 through 12.
Personally, I truly love teaching, and although I have retired, it is my intention to continue to do so whenever and wherever possible.
Outside of the classroom. My hobbies are listening to music and watching soccer.
I look forward to working with all students who need help in math and are willing to learn and grow in the field of mathematics.
